When I first started this fasting lifestyle, here are some things that helped me extend my fasting window.

  • Minerals - when we fast unfortunately it does deplete our mitochondria and the minerals from our body. So revitalising the body with magnesium, potassium and sodium, is something I highly recommend but making sure it’s not a product that breaks your fast.

  • Fat snacks - I love a good fasting snack, also known as “fat bombs”. A small amount of healthy fat will help keep your body in that fat-burning state and won’t break your fast. Things like; tbsp almond butter, 1/2 avocado, MCT Oil, etc.

Some minerals I love and use every time I fast are LMNT sachets, they come in different salty flavours and easy to use. Just add to water and drink anytime throughout your fasting window. It won’t break your fast and will prevent you from getting what they call the “keto flu”. Keto flu symptoms, are fatigue, headaches, cramps and dizziness, this is all due to our minerals being depleted, which is why I love these supplements.
